ISLAND

The Island is an interdisciplinary art residence of the Diaghilev Festival in the village of Khokhlovka, uniting artists of different practices focusing on working with sound and space. The participants live in a glamping for two weeks, take part in the festival projects, and collaborate to create a series of sound, visual, and performative works embedded in the architecture and landscape of the site. 

The ideas of the curator of the residence, stage director Evgeny Malenchev, are aimed at making art in harmony with nature, supporting environmental and artistic initiatives, as well as sharing competencies and practices.
